When planning a wedding, one of the things to look into is the music for that day. If you have not thought about it yet, then you might want to consider hiring Bay area bands for this.

There are a great number of bands out there, but the questions is, how will you find and book one. First, think about where would you want to use them for, to sing when you walk down the aisle, or to perform on the reception afterwards. Here are tips on how you can pick among the bands out there.

Do a bit of research. When you start searching for potential bands, think about the wedding or party you have been too lately. If you can think of one, then ask that couple or the party host of that time to provide you with references. Event planners will always be a great source of bands. You may also ask your friends and colleagues for recommendations.

The kind of band you need. You can enlist distinctive groups. Figure out which sort of music might you want to be played. Some are already set to playing an assortment of music to suit every one of the visitors regardless of their age, and preference for music. You can discover a gathering that attention on one class.

Ask questions. When you meet up with a potential band, you should bring with you a list of questions about the things that you would like to ask from them. Some questions to ask are, what is their favorite song to pay on weddings, their playlists, if they can work with you with the list of songs, how many they are on the group, the instruments available, and more.

List down all the bands that you find. You should not stop with the very first one that you see, check for others first. List down everyone which you find interesting. Once you are contented with your list, inquire to them, the price, their available time, etc. Cross out from your list those that did not make the cut. Narrow it down to your final three, then schedule an appointment with them.

You can do the appointment through phone call or by meeting up. Prepare all your questions in advance so that all the things that you would like to know about them will be answered. The interview will help you get to know them more. Let them bring a copy of their sample performance as well, when you were not able to see one online.

Discuss the breaks and meal. Usually, live bands ill rotate during breaks so that there is still music playing while everyone eats. During breaks, it is common that the people who hired them will provide the meal on site. You may talk to your caterer or the venue about meal options to solidify the price and menu items.

Make a playlist, but trust the band. While you plan for the reception, think about which songs do you often enjoy dancing into, and the songs your family and friends you might enjoy. Let the band know some of the songs you like, but it is important that you let them know that you trust in them about which songs could keep your guest standing on the dance floor.
