The great pyramid of Giza is one of the seven wonders of the world that still exists until today. The Pharaoh who made this great structure was of course the great Khufu who was known for creating pyramids. The interior of this place is splendid and is indeed very complex in terms of design. It was so complex that there are actually a few secret chambers of the great pyramid that were found.
Now many people did not know that there were even secret chambers before engineer Wayman Dixon discovered some of them in the year 1872. He and his assistant had ventured to the north and south shafts of the Queens chamber and felt a draft there. By digging the shafts out, they were able to find two very important relics.
Now they first found a metal hook in the southern shaft that was buried there in the dirt. Of course if they were able to find a relic in the southern shaft, they also went to see the northern shaft in which they were able to find two relics namely a granite ball and a cedar like piece of wood. These two artifacts were then brought back to their homeland in England wherein they were named after Dixon as the Dixon relics and were soon lost after they were returned to sir Dixon.
Now since the discovery of these shafts, there were many people who followed the path of mister Dixon and did their own expeditions. A team was able to find two tunnels that were found in the north and south walls in this room. However, the problem here was that these tunnels were blocked off and needed to be drilled.
Now it was because of this blockade that a robot with the ability to drill was made to that they could proceed further. When they were able to drill the blocks off, they eventually found another room at the end but they noticed that the room was totally empty. Eventually, another group of archaeologists made another robot that this time, had a micro snake camera that could detect all the smallest details that could be found there in the empty room.
After much inspection, what the archaeologists found was rather intriguing. With the use of this robot, they were able to find some small red hieroglyphic symbols that dated back to as far as four thousand years ago. There were also some carvings that were found in the stone block there as well which were probably made during the initial construction of this secret room.
According to most Egyptologists, these writings were actually symbolical writings that would tell as to why the shafts are there. There are actually some speculations that the writings are related to the sun. Of course many also disagree with this as they believe that the writings are related to the stars.
Now these chambers are still there until today but nobody knows why. The reason as to why they are still there is a mystery to everyone who studies Egyptian culture. The answer would probably lie in those hieroglyphs that were written.
