Discovering The Cubist Works Of Peter Panov

By Enid Hinton

Whether a student of art, or an admirer, there is one artist any one whom loves cubism need know about. The artist, Peter Panov is a Russian artist which brings dull colors to life by combining different elements of each. In Panov's paintings, it is often difficult to decipher fantasy from reality. Whereas, with scenes derived from every day life, realism can also be overwhelming at times. A good example of this would be a painting titled The Affair.

While success means different things to different people, any artist who has, or has had work in an art gallery, opening or show is generally seen as successful. Though, while this may be the case from a societal point of view, artists often do not consider oneself successful like Panov unless one's art sells either during, or shortly after such event.

For one thing, the painter has a palette rich in color, style and taste, colors which are often derived from a blending of others including some of the dullest on record. Once the pigment is extracted from these dull shades and mixed with more vibrant colors, the results are incredible. Paintings that appear to move while sitting still in colors that are more vivid and colorful than most can not even envision.

When it comes to using imagination, Panov is one of the best, that's what the critiques have to say at any rate. Love, as most would agree, remains in the eye of the beholder. The artist, also knowing this, has placed a number of paintings, including one piece which was created for a private collector on a Facebook page under the artist name, and on the artist's personal website.

A number of works can also be found online, in Russian art galleries and museums. To discover more about the artist and available work, enter the artist name into a search engine, then click on any results of interest. If using Google, it is easy to enter the artist's name, then click on images to see all images which the artist has stored online, including past and present paintings and other works of art.

Cubism can often be a fun media to work with from time to time whether painting as a full fledged artist, or hobbyist. While an interesting form, it can also be a difficult one depending on the experience of the student and the difficulty of the project. When it comes to painters like Picasso, and Panov, it appears there is a connection to the form unlike many past, present and most likely future artists have, or will ever know.

The painter's career began at quite early an age. After which, the young artist continued to study different aspects and medias involved in the making of art. As a young boy, Panov fell in love with paint brushes, colors and canvas. Later, Panov fell even deeper in love with the cubist form. Paintings by this artist would fit great in any decor, be it at home, work, or school.

When looking to purchase this type of fine art, good deals can often be found at art auctions, gallery clearance sales, online auction websites, thrift stores and at times, yard sales. Most scenes are quite vibrant and reflect every day actions. Some of those reflected include lunch at a cafe, and getting coffee, others provide a sense of movement while looking at a still image. All of which are extremely vibrant and breathtaking with colors created from duller shades of grey.
