Turquoise jewelry is typically found in American Indian sores and are believed to have powers that protect the individual who wears it.

The protection that Turquoise is believed to keep the person wearing it from emotional and physical harm. It is the stones themselves are powerful. It is thought that when used with copper the stone becomes extremely powerful. A lot of the jewelry made by the Native Americans includes the powerful and beautiful stone.

Amber is also used to make jewelry but is not in reality a stone. Even though it is not considered a stone by scientific definition, a lot of folks give it the classification of gemstone. Through history, amber has developed various meanings and uses worldwide. It is believed that amber has cured a number of illnesses that include headache, heart troubles, and kidney problems. People in the Middle East believed the stone symbolized courage.

Another beautifully colored stone is the Amethyst. The purple material is also used to create stunning jewelry. Amethyst was once considered to be very valuable. Because of a large find in Brazil, the stones have lost some value. This has made the jewelry crafted from them more affordable so more folks care able to purchase them.

Historically it was believed that an amethyst could keep people from getting too inebriated. The tale declared that anyone who drank alcohol from a amethyst cup would not become drunk. Another common belief is that this stone promotes good health and provides spiritual insight to those who wear adornments made with it. Additionally, a common belief is that the person wearing the stone is honest and posses a quiet and peaceful mind.
