Perception and choices made are definitely interconnected to each other, as stated in A Course in Miracles. For an instance, we do perceive error, there is definitely a tendency to continue choosing error through our decisions and this leads to making the error more real.

Reading the book can also help you to get rid of all your fears and troubles, only when you have an open mind and heart. Once you go through the books you are able to increase the feeling of love in you, you get a lot of experience and strong belief about things that you didn't knew before. You start to feel better about you and the people around you, not only for the individuals that you love but you feel the same for every individual you ever had a fight with.
The ideas and beliefs shared by ACIM very often have to go through allegations and anger from the people that believe in some of the major faiths. Where the ACIM does espouse several individuals on the same principles, the course also insists people that the evil in the world is not real and his also implies that even sin is also not real.

However if you are able to see changes in your life after reading the texts, then you can continue reading it more and increase your experience about life, truth and peace and joy.
