Six Things To Do In Parks

Craving for an escape do not always have to involve a lot of money. You do not need to book a flight to Paris or a fancy resort to enjoy your free time. While it is good to enjoy a good television show at home or cook the meal you have been wanting to eat, you can also head to the outdoors to your favorite park. It only takes a few minutes to just get your jacket, put on your shoes, and hold the door open to get there. Among the many parks you could head to is the McCowin Park.

There is always a great feeling whenever you are outdoors, immersing in nature. It clears up your mind and provides you a fresh perspective on certain things. Many things can be relished when you find yourself in a park, but here are simple underrated activities that you could always opt for. These might already seem familiar, but in a world that celebrates the extremes, you can still find joy in mundane things.

Get your exercise and engage in sports. Put on your running shoes and prepare your best workout songs in a playlist. The open space allows you to move around freely. This way, you get in shape while also enjoying the trees and the wind around you. Grab this opportunity to look for your yoga partner, because a lot of them are just relaxing underneath the largest tree out there.

Look for a park bench where you can enjoy your sandwich for lunch. Aside from this, you may also devour in some other specialties around such as bagels, candy apples, and pretzels. Not only does it satisfy your sweet cravings, but these are also affordable. You get a happy stomach, as well as a satisfied sweet tooth.

Next, channel your inner photographer by taking photos. There is always a great joy in sharing a story through a picture. The view is great in parks if you just also have a good eye. Still, take photos of the fountain or the lake. Do not be afraid to ask someone to take your photo for you. Just make sure they are trustworthy and do not attempt to run away with your camera or phone.

Next, take your work break by simply strolling in the park. You could also spend your time between the pages of a book or singing along to some of your favorite tunes on your playlist. These simple pleasures always bring great treatment. Create your own world by simply shutting off the world around you and see your favorite characters come to life.

If you are feeling a bit generous, go to a pond and feed the ducks. Watch them eat their bread and swim for their food. This is a very therapeutic activity. However, you must also make sure that you are feeding them nutritious food. Ask the people in charge if they are even allowed to be fed. You never want to face some trouble because of some ducks.

Crowded malls or coffee shops are overrated. Spend some time with friends at the park and enjoy the gentle breeze with good conversations. Nothing is better than watching friends and family catch up along amazing landscapes and relaxing views. Picnics, gatherings, and simple meetings are usually done for free in these areas.

All in all, succumb and feel the gentle breeze on your face. The outdoors is always good for the soul. No matter if it is raining or scorching hot, you know you can always find something nice to do in the park. Do not forget to bring your smile as you enjoy what is ahead of you.
