Several Ways To Wear A Kimono Style Cardigan

By Patty Goff

Expressing who you really are can be done in so many ways. For a woman, you can see it from the way that she dresses. Being fashionable does not only mean that you want to look good, it can also mean that you want to be confident with the way look. It is more than just wearing something to be beautiful This is the reason why women want to be fashionable at all times. They match their get up to current situations and this could be an interesting thing to do.

In all of the things in the world, fashion is one aspect where you have unlimited options. You can achieve different styles by matching distinct pieces together. One idea that fashion designers have based their creations on are those unique get ups of different cultures. And this is where the kimono style cardigan originated.

Japanese women were the first ones to sport this get up since it is their national dress. But the kimono of today has a lighter weight. And now it is usually used as a jacket.

The thing about fashion is that it never stops on one trend alone. People find ways on how they could reinvent a certain piece. Before these kimonos were just plain and sheer fabric. But now you can see the various prints designs and cuts that it has. And because it is a jacket, you need to find other pieces so that you can complete your fashion ensemble.

This piece is flexible. And even if it was originally created for the summer vibe, the way you style it could make it look like it was created for the other seasons as well. It even has the capacity to make you look taller and sleeker. You just have to make sure that you are wearing the proper match.

It can be used with everyday clothing. A simple pair of jeans and shirt could have a more sophisticated look if you put on a cardigan with it. But to successfully wear this look, you need to make sure that the under shirt is not too loose. The color is also important so that you would not look too over dressed.

If you have decided to stick to a cardigan with prints, the color of what is underneath should be plain. Sticking to one color is important to avoid color clashing. If you feel like wearing more colorful bottom pieces, you also can. But be careful if you are going to aim for this look.

If you think that is only applicable for jeans and pants then you are limiting your wardrobe. You can also use this with a skirt. Any cut would be perfect but remember the pattern rule. If you have a printed kimono, the skirt should not be printed and vice versa.

Aside from the skirts and pants, one piece and dresses are also suitable pairs for this particular clothing. You can achieve two distinct looks depending on the kind of dress that you would wear. One is the relaxed vibe which can be achieved by paring a cardigan with a flowing dress. You can also go for chic and polished by putting on a sleek dress that would show your figure.
